Types of DNP

At the moment, there are two types of DNPs on the market Powder DNP and Crystal DNP:

  1. Powder DNP (Powder DNP). It is pure 2,4-dinitrophenol. Has the formula C6H4N2O5. It is a light-white powder with a strong characteristic odor. At the moment it is sold only to certified laboratories.
  2. Crystal DNP (Crystal DNP). It is the sodium salt of pure DNP, pronounced sodium dinitrophenolate (Sodium 2,4-dinitrophenolate). Has the formula C6H3N2NaO5. By force of action inferior to the powder almost twice. Does not smell, the color is acid-yellow. It is usually purchased in China as cheap fertilizer.

You need to know exactly what kind of substance you have. And depending on the type of DNP should be selected dosage. If you already take it, but do not know what kind of DNP you have, here is a simple method of checking: If from 400 mg per day, you even in winter without clothes are hotter than on the warmest day of summer, then you have a powder; if such an effect is felt, most likely you are taking crystalline DNP, or you are underdosed.

It should also be taken into account that the effect on the human body has been studied only in powder DNP.

The Scheme of Reception of Crystal DNP

Usually, a dosage of 2-5 mg per 1 kg of body weight is recommended (i.e., a single dosage is about 200 mg) per day. The lethal dosage of dinitrophenol is 20-50 mg per kg of body weight, that is, more than tenfold excess.

Recently, several cases of a deadly overdose of dinitrophenol by young people have been recorded. As a rule, this drug is taken by people with an unstable psyche, especially neurasthenic girls, who no longer receive due to satisfaction from sibutramine, laxatives, and diuretics.
